Our commitment to accessible design for all members, especially adults 55+.
SilverCircle Connections is deeply committed to making our platform accessible and usable for adults of all abilities and technical comfort levels. We specifically design for adults 55 and older who may have varying levels of digital experience, visual acuity, and motor ability.
Our Accessibility Features
- Large, readable typography — Minimum 18px body text with high-contrast color ratios (4.5:1 minimum)
- Large tap targets — All buttons and interactive elements are at least 48×48 pixels
- Keyboard navigation — Full keyboard accessibility with visible focus indicators
- Screen reader support — Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and descriptive alt text
- Reduced motion — Animations are disabled when the user has requested reduced motion
- Clear error messages — Form errors are tied to their fields with clear, descriptive text
- Skip navigation — A "Skip to main content" link is available for keyboard users
